Elephant Bar

The Elephant Bar is a scratch-kitchen restaurant in the United States. The corporate office is located in Dallas, Texas. Their first restaurant opened in Lubbock, TX in 1980. As of 2015, the chain comprises 25 restaurants throughout the United States, with the majority in California. Elephant Bar Restaurants are also located in Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico, and Nevada.[1] The upscale restaurants are decorated around an African safari theme, with wildlife motifs. Many of the dishes offered are pan-Asian fusion in design.[2][3][4][5]

Elephant Bar Restaurant specializes in globally-inspired dishes and traditional, American fare. Their food is all made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients. All cocktails are made fresh to order and handcrafted in-house by mixologists.

In 2014, Elephant Bar filed for bankruptcy and closed 16 stores. In 2017, Elephant Bar closed a number of sites with no explanation.
