Efthimis Kioumourtzoglou (Greek: Ευθύμης Κιουμουρτζόγλου; born September 28, 1952 in Greece) is a former Greek professional basketball coach.
Coaching career
Professional clubs
In 1995, he was a EuroLeague semifinalist at the Saragoza EuroLeague Final Four, where he led his team, Panathinaikos, to a 3rd place finish. In 1996, he was a European Cup finalist, while coaching PAOK. He was also the head coach of Panionios, Aris, and Iraklis.
Greek national team
Kioumourtzoglou was the head coach of the Greek national basketball team from 1987 to 1994. He won the silver medal at the EuroBasket 1989. He also led Greece to a 6th place finish at the 1990 FIBA World Championship, a 5th place finish at the EuroBasket 1991, and a 4th place finish at the EuroBasket 1993.
