History and Merger

East Spring Secondary School was founded in January 1999 in Tampines Street 34. Due to reduced demand and falling enrolment rate, The Ministry of Education announced on 20 April 2017 that East Spring Secondary would be merged with East View Secondary School by 2019. The merged school will be located at the current site of East Spring Secondary School.[1] The new merged school name has not yet been decided and would be out at a further notice. It has no affiliation with East Spring Primary School.

The school song was created by the pioneers of the school and each letter of the sentences add up to spell out the school's name, EAST SPRING SEC.

Facilities and Amenities

Recently, three television screens are being installed in the school compound. One located directly at the front of the General Office and the other two located in the school canteen. These provide students with up-to-date and useful information which can be conveyed through the televisions and to students, teacher, etc.

Every week a student would present a Power of Positive Energy (PPE) speech to the students and teachers during the school morning assembly, and every few months there would be different key areas the presenter needs to convey. R3ise and SFL lessons are conducted every Monday and Thursday for an hour, where students are taught about future job prospects and current global affairs and well as inculcating life-long values which are not usually emphasised during curriculum time.
