Dušan Belić (Serbian Cyrillic: Душан Белић; born March 29, 1971) is a retired Serbian football goalkeeper and former head coach.
Career
He played for FK Hajduk Beograd, PSK Pančevo and FK Dinamo Pančevo.[1] In 1997, he moved to Belgium where he would play for Sint-Truidense VV in the Belgian League for eight and a half years playing a total of 217 league matches.[2][3] In 2006, he moved to Canada where he played and captained the Serbian White Eagles FC under Dragoslav Šekularac.[4] He made his debut on May 19, 2006 against Italia Shooters.[5] In his debut season he clinched the International Division title, and helped the team post the best defesinve record.[6]He featured in the CSL Championship final against Italia Shooters, where they fell short of claiming the double after a 1-0 defeat.[7]
In 2007, he was named the player-coach for the Serbian White Eagles for the first half of the 2007 season.[8] Midway through the season he resigned from his position in order to accept a scouting position in Slovenia.[9]
Personal life
Belić has three sons: Ognjen, Luka and Kristijan.
