The duchy of Alcudia is a Spanish nobility title created by King Carlos IV of Spain for Manuel Godoy and Álvarez-Faria.

Its name refers to the town of La Alcudia, in the province of Valencia (Spain).

The same king granted to him the Duchy of Sueca, the Barony of Mascalbó and the title of Prince of the Peace. The granting of the latter was an exception in Spanish nobility history; since the Middle Ages, no one had held the princely dignity in Spain except the heir of the crown, who did so through three titles: Prince of Asturias, Gerona and Of Viana. Fernando VII, in 1808, deprived the valid of his parents of the principality by expropriation.

Godoy was also, by papal concession, Prince of Bassano, title obtained after acquiring the Italian fief of Bassano di Sutri, located between Rome and Viterbo, during his long exile in Rome.

He was also granted the Portuguese county of Évoramonte.

It was because of her marriage to the consort of Chinchón.

It seems that it was also "Marqués de Álvarez", as they name it in different documents (see references), although it is a title that have never led their successors, nor has attempted to rehabilitate anyone, nor is it stated in the Cast of Greatness and Titles Nobiliarios Españoles or in the Directory of the Diputación de la Grandeza. He was also "Lord of Soto of Rome" 2 and "Viscount of High Andalusia." 3
