Drifters is a British sitcom that stars Jessica Knappett, Lydia Rose Bewley and Lauren O'Rourke as three female friends who live in Leeds following their graduation from university. All three actresses had previously appeared together in The Inbetweeners Movie. Four series were broadcast, between 2013 and 2016.
History
The series first aired on E4 on 31 October 2013.[1][2] On 9 May 2014, Channel 4 announced they had ordered a second series of Drifters. The new series began airing on E4 on 23 October 2014 and concluded on 27 November 2014.[3] It began transmission on 23 October 2014, with each episode of the series premièring a week before its initial E4 broadcast on 4oD.[3] On 9 June 2015, Channel 4 announced that a third series had been commissioned.[4] It began broadcasting on 22 October 2015 and finished on 26 November 2015. In March 2016, Knappett confirmed that a fourth series has been commissioned.[5] It began broadcasting on 10 October 2016. In June 2017 Knappett confirmed no more episodes would be made.

Meg and her cousin Bunny return home to Leeds, having cut short their gap year trip round India. They're greeted at the airport by their best friend Laura but - disaster - also by Meg's stalker-ish ex-boyfriend Mark. As far as Mark's concerned, they're still together. Unsurprisingly the homecoming doesn't run smoothly - and then there's also the small matter of finding a house and finding a job. Surely having got a degree and being now travellers of the world, the perfect life should all fall into place...? | ||||||

Bunny and Laura are amazed when Meg scores a hot date while out on the street promoting a smartphone. Meanwhile, Laura is concerned that she may have a skin disease and Bunny has self-diagnosed depression. But it's not until the girls end up gate-crashing a party that things get really complicated. | ||||||

The girls are appalled when they realise Meg hasn't had sex in nearly a year. Meanwhile Bunny thinks she's in love with her latest flame Hugh, a sexy sophisticated older man, but the other girls don't quite see him that way. And Laura is uncharacteristically throwing herself into work, shifting tickets in a "win this car" promotion. | ||||||

Whilst trying to raise the rent money selling their clothes online, Bunny accidentally reveals more than she intended and things spiral out of control when she agrees to some lucrative modelling work with Laura along for the ride as her "agent". DVD releases
The first series of Drifters was released on 25 November 2013 by 4DVD despite the sixth episode not being broadcast until 28 November 2013.[16] The second series was released on 8 December 2014 by 4DVD.[17]
