Lynn E. Roberts

Lynn E. Roberts, Jr. is an American theoretical physicist and educator.

Early life and education

Roberts was born on August 10, 1948 to Lynn E. Roberts and Dorothy Elizabeth Roberts (Johnson). He married Brenda J. James Roberts in August 1985. He has five children. Roberts matriculated at State University of New York at Stony Brook, earning a Bachelors of Science in Physics & Mathematics in 1972. He enrolled at Adelphi University in 1974, receiving a Ph.D in High Energy Physics in 1980 for research and publications at Adelphi University and Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Career

Following the completion of his studies, Roberts joined Brookhaven National Laboratory as a postdoctoral research associate and a member of the scientific staff. In 1985, Roberts accepted a position at Lincoln University (Pennsylvania) as an Associate Professor of Physics. He was subsequently promoted to full professor in 1991.[1]
