Door Open at 8 am is an album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. It is from the Aqua Necromancer sessions, but samples jazz instead of progressive rock. [3]
References include The Tony Williams Lifetime (whose "Vuelta Abajo" is sampled on track 2), Jimmy Garrison/Elvin Jones, and John Coltrane's The Africa/Brass Sessions, Volume 2 ("Africa" is sampled on track 6).
