Dominic Manfredi (born 1 October 1993) is a rugby league footballer who plays for Wigan Warriors in the European Super League. He primarily plays on the wings. Dom played his junior rugby at Leigh Miners Rangers until he was 14 and joined the Wigan club where he progressed well through the scholarship and academy set up.

Club career

2013

Manfredi made his Super League début against Hull FC on the third of August losing 33-34 at the DW Stadium.

2014

Loan spells at Salford and Workington gave him valuable game time and on his return to the Wigan side he managed 14 appearances scoring 11 tries.

2015

Manfredi was again loaned to Workington however 2015 saw his true breakthrough into the Wigan set up. After a disappointing run of form for Josh Charnley he came into the side to score 22 tries in just 18 appearances as well as picking up two Man of the Match awards.

2016

At the start of the 2016 season he was given the famous number 5 jersey for Wigan after the departure of Joe Burgess to the NRL and went on the score 15 tries in 25 appearances as well as 3 Man of the Match awards. His season was cruelly cut short in early August away at Castleford after a Rangi Chase tackle. Although Chase claimed there was nothing wrong with the tackle there is still debate over whether it was legal or not. Despite the injury he went on to make an appearance in the Super League Dream Team 2016.

2017

Despite still being injured at the start of the season he was awarded the number 2 jersey after Josh Charnley left to join Sale Sharks.
