Dilshad Garden is a large housing colony located in North East Delhi, which was primarily developed by Delhi Development Authority (DDA). A nearby colony named Dilshad Colony is sometimes mistaken to be a part of Dilshad Garden due to the similarity of names.

The area is quite densely populated with a mix of people from all income groups, castes and religions including Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, Christians, and Muslims. A market for automobiles and automobile accessories is located near Bebe Nanki Gurudwara. One Jain Temple is located at the R-Block in Dilshad Garden.
