Zhang Bichen (simplified Chinese: 张碧晨; traditional Chinese: 張碧晨; pinyin: Zhāng Bìchén; born September 10, 1989), also known as Diamond Zhang, is a Chinese singer. She was a member of the South Korean girl group Sunny Days. In 2014, she won the champion at the Chinese singing contest The Voice of China (season 3).[1]

Life and career

1989–2008: Early years and career beginnings

Zhang was born in Tianjin, China on September 10, 1989.

2009–2013: Sunny Days

In 2013, Zhang became a trainee in South Korean management company Haeun Entertainment.[2] In the same year, she debuted her singing career by becoming an member of South Korean girl group Sunny Days.[3] In 2013, she won the champion of K-Pop World Festival in China.[4] In 2014, she left the group.

2014–present: Morning Bound for Midnight

In 2014, Zhang attended the Chinese singing contest The Voice of China (season 3), and won the champion at the contest where she covered the Chinese singer Wang Zhengliang's song "Where Is the Time Gone?" in the final round.[5] In the same year, she sang the interlude song titled "In the Span of a Kiss" for the Chinese television drama The Young Doctor. In 2015, she sang the interlude song titled "Annual Ring" for the Chinese television drama The Journey of Flower. In the same year, she appeared on the Chinese reality show Be the Idol. In 2016, she appeared on the Chinese reality show Mask Singer. In the same year, she held her fist solo concert, and released her debut solo studio album, Morning Bound for Midnight. In March 2017, she appeared on the Chinese singing competition Singer.

Singer 2017

In March 2017, joined Hunan Television Singer 2017, as the third challenge singer, in 4th qualifying round sang "Time Has Tears" got No.8 challenge failure, however due to Tan Jing's withdrawal, the programme change her as a fill-seat singer, and change the rules as a qualifying round, in 4th round is eliminated, and then in breakout she sang "Listen Carefully" got No.5 breakout success, on April 15, 2017 got the sixth place.
