Dev[2] is an Indian suspense drama television series produced by Peninsula Pictures. Showcasing stories inspired by real life events, this fictionalized investigative thriller plunges viewers into the world of Dev Burman - a detective who is an enigma in himself.[3] Dev is a finite series of 26 episodes and was premiered on 5 August 2017 on Colors TV.

Plot

Dev places detective Dev Anand Burman (Ashish Chaudhary) in the middle of emotional upheavals and covert circumstances. Fighting inner-demons borne out of his wife Mahek's (Puja Banerjee) untimely demise, Dev is living as a recluse with a cat named Madhubala. He works closely with Inspector Amod Narvekar (Amit Dolawat) who is convinced that Dev is the mastermind behind his wife's death. As he struggles to return to normalcy, Dev fosters a strong bond with his landlady Zohra Aapa or Zohra Rizwi (Jayshree Arora) as she cares for him, almost like a mother. But, it is his encounter with fiery Meera (Sumona Chakravarti) which forces him to look at life anew, exploring many untapped emotions.[4]
