Demonice (daughter of Agenor)

In Greek mythology, Demonice (Ancient Greek: Δημονίκη) was an Aetolian princess. She was daughter of Agenor and Epicaste, sister of Porthaon. She bore Ares four sons: Evenus, Molus, Pylus, and Thestius.[1] Also known as Demodice[2] (Δημοδίκη) or Demodoce.[3]

Hesiod's account

Demonice was recounted by Hesiod in his Catalogue of Women in the following lines:

"Demodoce whom very many of men on earth, mighty princes, wooed, promising splendid gifts, because of her exceeding beauty."[4]
