Priests of the Sacred Heart

Coat of arms

The Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (also known as the Dehonians by the initials S.C.I. or S.C.J., which stands for Sacerdotum Cordis Jesu in Latin) constitute a Roman Catholic religious congregation of priests and brothers. The order was founded in northern France in Saint-Quentin, Aisne, Picardy by Léon Dehon in 1878.[1]

The congregation runs the Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corners, Wisconsin, USA and St Joseph's Church in Stockport, England.[2] In addition, its personnel run St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota; the facility was founded as a mission school in 1927.
