Deep Sidhu (born April 2, 1984) [2] is an Indian actor who works in Bollywood and Pollywood.[3] Deep has started his film career with a Punjabi film Ramta Jogi which is produced by critically acclaimed actor Dharmendra under his banner Vijayta Films.

Early life

Deep Sidhu was born to a Sikh Family in Muktsar, Punjab. He did his schooling from Punjab. He also played basketball in school and college and played five National Championship. He has played for Junior India and Basketball at the National level.[4]

Career

Deep became the winner of Kingfisher Model Hunt and then he took part in Grasim Mr. India and became Grasim Mr. Personality and Grasim Mr. Talented. Deep has walked ramp in Bombay for designers like Hemant Trivedi, Rohit Gandhi and others.[5] Somehow he could not connect with Modelling World so he started practicing as a lawyer since he has studied law. His first placement was with Sahara India Pariwar as legal advisor.[6] Then he worked with British law firm called Hammonds. They managed Disney, Sony Pictures and other Hollywood Studios. Then he became legal head of Balaji Telefilms for three and half years. That’s where Ekta Kapoor told him to act but he didn’t start.[7] Then he opened his own law firm called Lex Legal and had clients like Sanjay Leela Bhansali Films, Balaji Telefilms, Vijayta Films, Red Chillies, PVR Pictures, Sony Pictures, Colours, Star Plus and others. He has worked with all senior lawyers of this country including Ram Jethmalani, Harish Salve, Rohinton Fali Nariman, Mukul Rohatgi, Arun Jaitley and others. One day at Internal awakening he got a call from inside when he felt that he wants to do what he likes doing. So he stopped successful law practise and became an actor. That’s how his journey of an actor started .[8]
