Dean Silvers is an American film producer, film director, screenwriter, entertainment lawyer and author.[1][2][3][4] He has produced numerous films, including Flirting with Disaster, Manny & Lo, and Spanking the Monkey, which won multiple awards, including the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival and two Independent Spirit Awards.[5][6] The New York Times "Bookshelf" column recommended Silvers' book, Secrets of Breaking into the Film and TV Business (William Morrow and Company/HarperCollins), "What better time to grab Dean Silvers' Secrets of Breaking into the Film and TV Business... Personal life

Dean Silvers was born in Brooklyn, New York and currently resides in Manhattan, New York with his wife, Marlen Hecht, and their two sons, Forrest Silvers and Tyler Silvers.[3]
