Gameplay
Weapons at the players disposal will include laser guns and flamethrowers. The player will have pets to assist them in tasks. The player will encounter large bosses.[2] The game is a side scroller.[3]
Development
Daydreamer was showcased at the Moscone Center’s GDC Play Area at the 2015 Game Developer Conference.[4] It is set for release in summer 2015. It had an unsuccessful crowdfunding campaign.[5][6][7][8][9][10]
Daydreamer has Sprite graphics, of rather high quality for its characters, contrasted by a lot of scrolling check patterns for its pause menu. It also features an interface designed for a gamepad, to the point where the game only displays Gamepad inputs for menues and tutorial messages even when played only a keyboard on Windows.
The game is planned to launch on PlayStation 4 on July 12. An Xbox One version of the game was originally planned but was cancelled.[11]
