Dayamir Union

Dayamir Union is the native home of General M. A. G. Osmani, who was supreme commander of the Bangladesh Liberation War. It is a union council under Balaganj Upazila of Sylhet District, Bangladesh. In 2015 Zulhash Uddin, was the first British Bangladeshi from the Doyamir Union to be elected councillor for Tunbridge Wells Borough and Southborough Town Council, UK. Uddin later on 23 May 2017, was elected as Deputy Mayor of Southborough Town Council, UK.[1] He's the first mayor from the ethnic minorty heritage.[2]
