David Huband (born December 1958), is a Canadian actor. He is best known for his roles on Cinderella Man as Ford Bond and in the films Cube Zero, Dirty Pictures and The Lookout.
Career
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Huband was a member of the comedy troupe, Illustrated Men, from 1984-1995. Prior to that, he was a member of The Second Mainstage Company, appearing in two revues there. Huband also appeared as Estragon in Illustrated Men’s acclaimed production of Waiting For Godot, at Canadian Stage. He has performed at regional theatres across Canada, such as Manitoba Theatre Centre, Prairie Theatre Exchange, Theatre New Brunswick, The Arbor Theatre, and The Stratford Festival, where he played Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Huband can be seen in the films, The Ladies Man, Tommy Boy, The Diamond Fleece, Police Academy 3: Back in Training, and That Same Old Feeling, directed by Carl Reiner. He has also performed in numerous television shows including Traders, and The Red Green Show, as well as in several television movies such as Dirty Pictures, The Jesse Ventura Story, Ultimate Deception, Lessons In Love, and Holiday Affair. Huband has also done voice work for several animated television series such as Piggsburg Pigs!, Sailor Moon, Birdz, George and Martha and The Adventures of Tintin. Huband was a series regular on The Newsroom, and has also appeared in Ken Finkleman’s Foolish Heart and in Mr. Finkleman’s Foreign Objects. Huband is also a semi-regular on The Rick Mercer Report. He had a large principal role in the acclaimed BBC mini-series, The State Within and also had a lead role in the television movie, Escape from the Newsroom. He can also be seen in the feature films, Wrong Turn, Cube Zero, Cinderella Man, starring Russell Crowe, and most recently starred in Breach, Hank and Mike and The Lookout. Huband's latest film was 2011's Dream House, starring Daniel Craig.
