David Chong

David Chong Kok Kong (simplified Chinese: 张国光; traditional Chinese: 張國光; pinyin: Zhāng Guó Guāng) is the Founder and President of the Portcullis Group. He is also the Executive Chairman of Fusang[1] – the Asian Family Office, owned by his family. Fusang offers its services through Fusang Family Office and Fusang Investment Office. Fusang Investment Office Pte Ltd is a Registered Fund Management Company regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Biography

Chong is a director of David Chong Law Corporation, Singapore. Chong qualified as a Barrister-at-Law, Lincoln's Inn; Advocate & Solicitor, Singapore; Malaya and Brunei; Barrister & Solicitor, British Virgin Islands; Solicitor, NSW and Queensland, Australia; Barrister & Solicitor, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria, Australia.

Chong is the President of the Singapore Trustees Association (STA).[2] He served as the Founding President of Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP)[3] Singapore Branch, and was the Founding President of the Singapore Fund Administrators Association (SFAA). He also sits on the Investment Committee of the Singapore Academy of Law.[4]

He is a Fellow of Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford, where he sits on the Board of Regents.[5] Chong is Vice Chair of the United World College of South-East Asia Foundation,[6] and sits on the Board of NUS High School for Math and Science.[7] In appreciation for his dedicated service to education, the Singapore Ministry of Education presented Chong with a Service to Education Award in 2013.[8]

Chong has a Master’s Degree in Law from National University of Singapore and a Master’s Degree in Business from City University, London.
