David Alleyne (born 17 April 1976, York) is an English cricketer. He is a wicket-keeper and a right-handed batsman.

David Alleyne signed for Middlesex in 1997 as a wicketkeeper batsman .With limited opportunities presented in the 1xl at the time(2xl player of the season 99,00,02)

Alleyne signed for Nottinghamshire in October 2003, to take the gloves and bat in the top order ,With many expecting Chris Read, to have a prolonged International career ,Alleyne's time unfortunatley was spent playing in the Second XI as number 3 batsman and wicket-keeper.

With ambitions of playing regular 1xl cricket , Alleyne signed with Kent CCC , who's incumbent Keeper Geirant Jones was the first choice for England at the time..

Unfortunately this opportunity never saw Alleyne play for Kent as Jones was soon to lose his place in the England ranks..

Developing into a top order batsman in first class cricket , Alleyne had a productive 2006 at number 3 and opening..

First class highlights included ,Division 1 County Championship Winner 2005 ,Division 2 County Championship Winner 2004 . Four second xl player of the season awards.

Against Warwickshire in May 2006, he scored his maiden first-class fifty in the first innings and trumped that with his maiden hundred in the second, Also claiming 9 dismissals in same match."[1][2] Score of 99 against Hampshire CCC

Alleyne decided to leave Nottinghamshire in 2007 and emigrated to Australia and is now Director of Future Stars Cricket PTY LTD, based in Melbourne Australia.
