Davenport is a northeastern suburb of Port Augusta in South Australia.
The modern suburb was created in 2014 by cutting out parts of the existing areas of Wami Kata and Port Augusta.[1] However, the Corporate Town of Davenport had previously existed as a local government body from 1887 to 1932.
Davenport includes the former Umeewarra Aboriginal Mission and the Wami Kata Old Folks Home.
The suburb lies within the cadastral hundred of Davenport.
