Dataram was founded in 1967 as a supplier of original equipment memory to Digital Equipment Corporation. In 1968, Dataram completed its initial public offering. Dataram supplies 70 of the Fortune 100 companies, and governmental agencies including the Department of Defense. Dataram’s memory products are sold worldwide to OEMs, distributors, value-added resellers and end users. The company's manufacturing facility is in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, United States, and sales offices in the United States, Europe and Japan. Cenatek

Cenatek Inc was a privately owned company that was located in Morgan Hill, California. Their products were based on high-speed storage such as the Rocket Drive PCI-based solid state disk and Ramdisk. The company's research and development was located in Redding, California.

On 9 October 2008, Cenatek was purchased by Dataram[2]

Memory

Dataram provides compatible server memory for leading brands including HP, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Dell, Cisco, Lenovo, Intel and AMD. [3]

Dataram RAMDisk software is used to create a virtual RAM drive, or block of memory, which your computer treats as if it were a disk drive. It can speed up internet load times and disk-to-disk activities, accelerate databases and reduce compile times. The software is offered in both freeware and licensed versions. [4]

Dataram's Performance Optimization and Total Cost of Computing Reduction program is a consulting service intended to reduce clients' costs and improve performance. Dataram's manufacturing facility is ISO 9001 certified, and its Intel and major clone servers, desktops, RAID, and barebones notebooks have been CMTL certified. The company is a member of the American Council for Technology (ACT), the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC), the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), Technical Support Alliance Network (TSANet), and a VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP).

Agreements

Announced September 6, 2012, Dataram entered into a formal agreement with AMD (NYSE: AMD) to develop an AMD-branded version of Dataram’s popular RAMDisk software. Dataram will market the product under the name Radeon RAMDisk and will target gaming enthusiasts seeking exponential improvements in game load times leading to an enhanced gaming experience. AMD intends to offer special Radeon RAMDisk incentives for those purchasing AMD Radeon Value, Entertainment, Performance and Gamer Series memory products.
