Dart, Ohio

Dart is an unincorporated community in Washington County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.[1]

History

A post office called Dart was established in 1905, and remained in operation until 1984.[2] According to tradition, the townspeople were searching for a suitable name when they saw a bird flying "like a dart".[3]

Dart had the Lawrence Elementary School until it closed around 2014 due to low enrollment.[4]
