Darshan Punshi (Urdu: درشن پنشی) is a Pakistani politician who is the current Minister of State for Inter Provincial Coordination, in office since August 2017. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League (N).
Political career
He was elected as a member of the National Assembly on a seat reserved for minorities in the Pakistani general election, 2008.[1]
He was elected as a member of the National Assembly on a seat reserved for minorities in the Pakistani general election, 2013.[2][3]
Following the election of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as Prime Minister of Pakistan in August 2017, he was inducted into the federal cabinet of Abbasi.[4][5] He is believed to be the first Hindu federal cabinet member in Pakistan in 25 years.[6] He was appointed as the Minister of State for Inter Provincial Coordination.[7]
