Let the Sunshine In (French: Un beau soleil intérieur), or Bright Sunshine In, is a 2017 French film directed by Claire Denis.[1][2] The film is an adaptation of Roland Barthes's 1977 text A Lover's Discourse: Fragments (French: Fragments d’un discours amoureux).[3] Novelist Christine Angot[4][3] and frequent Denis collaborator Jean-Pol Fargeau[5] have both been reported as Denis's co-writers on the project. It opened the Directors' Fortnight section of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.[6][7] At Cannes in won the SACD Award.[8]

The film began shooting in January 2017 in Creuse, France.[9] Shooting wrapped on February 21, 2017.[5]
