Dan Nicolae Nistor (born 6 May 1988) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays for CFR Cluj as a midfielder.
Club career
Early years / Pandurii Târgu Jiu
Nistor started his football career with local AS Rucăr. In 2010, after several spells with Internațional, Muscelul Câmpulung and Dacia Mioveni respectively, he signed a four-year contract with top-tier side Pandurii Târgu Jiu. Nistor started to come to prominence during the 2011–12 season and the following campaign Pandurii finished second in the league table to become vice-champions of Romania.
In 2013, he made his European debut against Levadia Tallinn in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.
Evian
In August 2013, Nistor was signed by French club Evian for a transfer fee of €800,000.[1][2] He played only six Ligue 1 matches for Les Roses during the first half of the 2013–14 season.
Return to Pandurii Târgu Jiu
On 22 January 2014, Nistor was sent on loan to his former team Pandurii Târgu Jiu for a period of five months,[3] which was extended for the following season as well. In the summer of 2015 he joined the Alb-albaștrii as a free agent.
Dinamo București
On 31 August 2016, Nistor signed a two-year contract with Dinamo București,[4] being assigned the number 15 jersey.
International career
On 4 June 2013, Nistor made his international debut for the Romania national team in a 4–0 home victory over Trinidad and Tobago, after having previously played two unofficial matches for his country against Belgium and Poland respectively.
