Daddy's Home 2 is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Sean Anders, from a screenplay by Anders and John Morris. It stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini, John Cena, John Lithgow and Mel Gibson. It is a sequel to the 2015 film Daddy's Home. Unlike its predecessor, this film will not feature the involvement of Red Granite Pictures.
It is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2017, by Paramount Pictures.
Synopsis
Brad and Dusty (Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg) must deal with their intrusive fathers (Mel Gibson & John Lithgow) during the holidays, along with Dusty dealing with his step child's biological father (John Cena).

Production
In April 2016, it was announced Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will reprise their roles, while Sean Anders and John Morris will write the script with Anders directing.[1] In January 2017, it was announced Mel Gibson and John Lithgow were being sought to play the main characters fathers in the sequel.[2] The two were later confirmed to star in the film, with Linda Cardellini, John Cena, Owen Vaccaro and Scarlett Estevez reprising their roles.[3][4]
Filming
Principal photography began on March 20, 2017.[5] Parts of the movie are being filmed in Concord, Massachusetts and Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
Release
The film is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2017.[6]
