DW News is a global English-language news and information channel from a German international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW).
History
DW News was launched on June 22, 2015 and superseded other international DW programs like the Journal.[1] The 24-hour service aims to establish a German counterpart to international news channels from other countries like BBC World News or France 24. The service is transmitted worldwide via satellite.
Availability
In the United States, DW News can be received via cable and satellite TV broadcast. Also, a 30-minute program similar to the Journal is available on many PBS affiliate stations.[2]
