Cryptoblabes hemigypsa is a species of snout moth in the genus Cryptoblabes. It was described by Turner in 1913, and is known from Australia.[1]
Adults are grey with three wavy dark stripes near the tip of forewing which join to form "V" shaped marks.[2]
The larvae feed on Macadamia integrifolia and Grevillea species. They initially feed inside the flower buds, and are considered to be a pest. Later, they feed on the outside of the buds and flowers. Pupation takes place in a silken cocoon amongst leaf litter.
