CU Coventry is a subsidiary of the Public Research University, Coventry University. It has been in operation since its launch in 2012, but was formerly known as Coventry University College.[1] The main campus is currently located in the city of Coventry, England. It is part of CU, a set of campuses within the Coventry University Group, that also includes CU Scarborough and CU London.
History
Coventry University College was founded in 2012 as a subsidiary of Coventry University, becoming CU Coventry in 2017.[2] The university was labelled as a "no frills", alternative to traditional higher education.[3]
Study Modes
CU Coventry offers several study modes, including; Full-Time,[4] Part-Time,[5] Saturday University,[6] Online,[7] and Uni@Work.[8]

A pass (40%) in a foundation year guarantees entry onto the relevant degree course within the CU group. Higher grades may also allow students to progress onto degrees elsewhere.
Awards and Accolades
Despite having a relevantly short operating time CU Coventry has received several awards, this is primarily due to its connection with Coventry University. The most prestigious award the college has been involved in was; The Times University Of The Year Award,[10] which was won by Coventry University. The college was directly mentioned as a beneficial factor when Coventry University was awarded the highly sought after title.[11]
