Counting On (formerly Jill & Jessa: Counting On) is an American reality television show that has aired on the cable channel TLC since 2015. A spin-off show of 19 Kids and Counting, it features the Duggar family: Jill Dillard, Jessa Seewald, sixteen of their seventeen siblings, and parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. The show was created in the wake of the Josh Duggar molestation controversy and subsequent cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting. ^[1]

The reality show aims to follow the lives of the older Duggar children as they get married, have children, and move out of the Duggar home. Notable events have included the wedding of Jinger Duggar to Jeremy Vuolo, the wedding of Joy-Anna Duggar to Austin Forsyth, the engagement of Joseph Duggar to Kendra Caldwell as well as the pregnancy announcements of Jill and Jessa. Since the show aired 3 of the Duggar children started courting including Jinger, Joy and Joseph. Jinger is now married to Jeremy Vuolo, Joy is now married to Austin Forsyth and Joseph is now engaged to Kendra Caldwell. During the show, Jessa welcomed 2 children, Spurgeon and Henry. Jill and Derick also announced they were expecting their 2nd child, Samuel, born on July 8th. His birth will be on Season 4 of Counting On. ^[2]

Jill & Derick Dillard met via FaceTime after Derick had talked with Jim-Bob for a couple of months. They met in Kathmandu, Nepal. Derick proposed in Early 2014. The couple was married on June 21, 2014 in front of close family and friends. Shortly after getting married The Dillard's announced they were pregnant with their 1st child, A boy. On April 6, 2015 after a 72 hour labor, being transferred to the hospital and being 2 weeks over due Israel David Dillard was born. In November of 2016 The Dillard's announced their 2nd pregnancy, Another boy. On July 8, 2017 the couple welcomed their second son Samuel Scott Dillard.

Jessa & Ben Seewald met via church in 2013. They talked for months before entering a courtship in September of 2013. They courted for 10 months before getting engaged in August of 2014. The couple was married on November 1, 2014 in front of close family and friends. In early 2015 The Seewald's announced their first pregnancy. A boy, {they kept the Gender a secret until his birth}. On November 5, 2015 Spurgeon Elliot Seewald was born, Jessa was admitted to the hospital for severe blood loss after birth resulting in a blood transfusion. In mid 2016 The Seewald's announced their second pregnancy, Another boy {they also kept his gender a secret with the exception of Jana & Joy knowing. Jana told Jill & Derick and Joy told Austin}. On February 6, 2017 Henry Wilberforce Seewald was born.

Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo met via mission trip to Central America in mid 2015. Jeremy expressed interest in Jinger in December of 2015. The couple began courting in June of 2016 after 1 month of courting the couple got engaged in July of 2016. On November 5, 2016 the couple was married in front on close family and friends. The couple does not have any children yet.

Joy & Austin Forsyth met when they were actually young kids via a homeschooling conference. The couple began courting in late November of 2016. After 3 months of courting the couple got engaged in March of 2017. The couple was married on May 26th, 2017 in front of friends and family. The couple does not have any children yet.

Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell met via church where Kendra's father is a pastor at. They began courting in early 2017. The couple was engaged on May 26, 2017. They have not been married yet and are still planning their wedding.
