Coombe Wood, Frilsham
Coombe Wood is a site of Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It is based in Frilsham in Berkshire.[1] It is located within the North Wessex Downs.[2]
Geography
Coombe Wood covers an area of 19.3 hectares.[3] The woods are described as a Broadleave, mixed and yew woodland located in a lowland area.[4]
History
The woodlands was first recorded in 1640.[2]
The wood was classed in 1985 as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.[2]
