Conrad Powell ("Con") Johnstone CBE (19 August 1895 – 23 June 1974) was an English first-class cricketer active 1919–48 who played for Kent, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Cambridge University. He was born in Sydenham; died in Eastry, Kent.[1]

Johnstone arrived in Madras in 1925 to work with Burmah Shell. He was known for his cricketing abilities and soon found a slot in the Madras cricket team. When the Ranji Trophy was inaugurated in 1934, Johnstone was selected to lead Madras. In the first and only match they played Madras in the 1934 edition, Madras bowled out their opponents Mysore for 48 and 59 and won within a single day by an innings and 23 runs.[2] Madras, under Johnstone's captaincy, were the runners-up in the 1935 Ranji Trophy losing to Bombay in the final.[3]
