The red-tailed bristlebill or common bristlebill (Bleda syndactylus) is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is found in western and central Africa. Its natural habitats are tropical moist lowland and montane forests and tropical moist shrubland.

Taxonomy and systematics

The red-tailed bristlebill was originally described in the genus Dasycephala (a synonym for Attila).
