In March 2017 the organization's name was changed to Democracy Without Borders.[3]

Goal

KDUN's mandate includes the goal "to facilitate a cosmopolitan orientation of society, an improvement of international relations and the establishment of global democracy and global rule of law." [4]

Specifically, it advocates the creation of a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly and "internet governance structures which allow for maximum utility and freedom for individual users as global citizens." [5]

KDUN is co-founder and international Secretariat of the International Campaign for the Establishment of a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly. Its Advisory Council includes politicians from the German, Swiss and European Parliament.[6] Its supporters include former UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali.[7]

It is associated member of the World Federalist Movement.[8]
