Comanche is a 100 ft maxi yacht. She was designed in France by VPLP and Guillaume Verdier and built in the United States by Hodgdon Yachts for Dr. James H. Clark. Comanche holds the 24-hour sailing record for monohulls[1] and the transatlantic record of 5 days, 14 hours, 21 minutes 25 seconds.[2][3] Comanche won line honours in the 2015 Fastnet race and the 2015 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Comanche's skipper is Ken Read.[4] In 2017, Comanche set a 24 hour run of 484.1 nm, a new Transpac record, a 20.2 knot average speed. [5]
