Colette Paul
Colette Paul QPM is a Police Officer of the United Kingdom. She was the Chief Constable of Bedfordshire Police.
Early career
Paul initially joined the Metropolitan Police Service, where she spent a large part of her career as a detective in CID. In 2000, she was appointed as Detective Superintendent of the MPS' Anti-Terrorist Branch and set up its War Crimes Unit and the Counter Terrorist Intelligence Cell. She transferred to South Wales Police as an Assistant Chief Constable in 2008.
Chief Constable of Bedfordshire
Paul was appointed as Chief Constable of Bedfordshire Police by the regional Police and Crime Commissioner, Olly Martins, in May 2013. Her predecessor transferred to the Ministry of Defence Police.[1] In June 2015 she announced that she is taking retirement.[2]
