Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET), formerly Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, is a private self-financing engineering college located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 2001 by the Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust (KKET).

Location

The college is located on a campus of 26.5 acres (107,000 m2) at Narasipuram, 25 km from Coimbatore city.[1]

Features

The Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET), Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India was established in 2001 by Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust (KKET) to provide quality education to the young community with the motto of "Light the Light Within". CIET is affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE, Accredited with 'A' Grade by NAAC and an ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution. CIET offers 7 Under Graduate and 7 Post Graduate Engineering courses and management courses. The institute is located in a campus spreading over 26.5 acres, about 25 kms from Coimbatore city, the institute has a very picturesque and serene atmosphere surrounded by green hillocks.

CIET shall strive for the continual improvement in academic performance, professional skill in engineering, better attitude and also ethical values of its students that enhance their eligibility for higher studies and employability.

MoU with industry

CIET has signed an MoU with [[industries in Coimbatore] - CPC ] for industrial placement, providing training, consultancy and project guidance.
