Cliffoney, officially Cliffony[2] (Irish: Cliafuine (Cliathmhuine), meaning "hurdled thicket"), is a village in north County Sligo, Ireland. It lies on the N15 national route at its junction with the R279).

Amenities

The village has many shops to enjoy. you can get your hair done at Cliffoney Beauty Salon, or get some essentials at McGillens Gala in the middle of the Village. Get some sewing materials in the Crafters Basket to the north of the village, send a postcard to family or friends at the Post Office. Go and have a drink at O'Donnell's bar or eat five-star food at Harrison's bar and restaurant. And at the end of the day, go to Slive Bán B&B for the night.

Sights

The village has many attractions nearby like Mullaghmór head walk/drive along the wild Atlantic way or the beach in Cliffoney (no swimming allowed)or Mullaghmór, Streedagh, and Bundoran.

You can take a trip up to Benwiskin to go on the Gleniff Horse Shoe at the foot of Benwiskin mountain and Truskmore, which has an RTE television mast on the peak. Or on the other side of Grange, you can walk along the foot of Benbulben mountain.

Only a kilometer from Cliffoney,is Creevykeel Court Cairn is tho the north of the village. The tomb is over 5000 years old. To the south of the village, hidden by houses and shrubs, is St.Bridits well. It is a kilometer from Cliffoney Hall.
