Claudine Margaret Castelo Barretto (born July 20, 1979) is a Filipina actress, entrepreneur and product endorser.

Career

In 1992, Barretto was discovered by talent manager Douglas Quijano through older sister, Gretchen Barretto, also an actress. That same year, she landed her first major break on television when she was cast for ABS-CBN's youth-oriented variety show, Ang TV. She then played Dolphy's daughter named Bing in the sitcom Home Along Da Riles, and Agot Isidro's sister named Tony in Oki Doki Doc, starring Aga Muhlach.

Barretto's lead television roles started with 1997's Mula sa Puso where she played the rich heiress, Via, opposite Rico Yan and Diether Ocampo. Then came 1999's Saan Ka Man Naroroon where her performance as triplets Rosario, Rosenda and Rosemarie earned her a nomination for Best Actress in the Asian TV Awards. As a film actress, she has received two FAMAS Award for Best Actress and a Luna Award for Best Actress. Barretto is also noted for her shows such as Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan (2001-2003), ASAP (2003-2009), Marina (2004) and Iisa Pa Lamang (2008). Her popular film works include Anak (2000), Got 2 Believe (2002), Kailangan Kita (2002), Milan (2004), Nasaan Ka Man (2005) and Sukob (2006).

Barretto was the Prime Actress and also known as the Queen of Star Magic and was managed by ABS-CBN from 1992 until she transferred to GMA Network in 2009.

Claudine's last appearance in TV5's Bakit Manipis ang Ulap? in 2016 before she quit show business.
