Citicorp Railmark Inc (trading as Citirail Express or CREX) is known for leasing locomotives to the BNSF Railway because of their crisis to move oil trains starting in 2013.
History
The company is a subsidiary of Citibank, National Association and was formerly known as Citicorp Aerolease.[1]
Locomotives
Ctirail currenty rosters 125 ES44AC's. Locomotives include the following in the GE Evolution Series:
- 15 ES44AC units, numbered 1201-1215, delivered in December 2012
- 50 ES44AC units, numbered 1301-1350, delivered in late 2013
- 35 ES44AC units, numbered 1401-1435, delivered in mid-late 2014
- 25 ES44AC units, numbered 1501-1525, delivered in mid 2015. Ferromex is renting these 25 Citirail locomotives for 2016.
