Cinnamon Toast Records was a record label, inspired by the American label Simple Machines, from Halifax, Nova Scotia and run by Walter Forsyth, Lee Ann Gillan, Shawn Duggan, Colin MacKenzie, Robert Jeans and Miroslav Wiesner.[1] They released a number of limited release 7" singles, each in a different colour. Also released was a compilation CD and LP: Trim Crusts if Desired. They went on to release a Rebecca West CD and LP as well as a number of full length Plumtree CDs. Their first release was Jale's first recording — a red 7" single called "Aunt Betty".
