Ciao (ちゃお, Chao) is a Japanese shōjo manga magazine published by Shogakukan for girls about 8–14 years old. The first issue was launched in 1977. Formerly, the magazine attached paper crafts, but now attaches goods (cosmetics, watches, pencils, notebooks, etc.) that are different every month. The magazine's competitors are Ribon and Nakayoshi.
