Chthonius is a genus of psudoscorpions.
There are more than 200 species which are distributed from Europe to Iran, North Africa, Balearic Islands and the USA. There is one cosmopolitan species. There are also fossil species from the Eocene of Poland and the Russian Federation.
Chthonius minotaurus is from Crete.
