Christine Chinkin

Christine Chinkin CMG FBA[1] is a Professor of International Law and founding Director of the Centre for Women, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics and Political Science[2] and the William W. Cook Global Law Professor at the University of Michigan Law School. She was a member of the four-person United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict created by the United Nations Human Rights Council.[3] From January 2010, she is a member of the Human Rights Advisory Panel[4] of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo.

She was appointed Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to advancing women's human rights worldwide.[5]
