Christian Rønn (born May 23, 1969 in Denmark) is a Danish musician and composer of electronic music, industrial rock, ambient drone, free form performance, film music and experimental musical projects beyond trad. genre description.[1] Under the moniker Ganga, Rønn has worked with a number of artists. F.ex. Ingrid Chavez, David McAlmont, Dawn Joseph, Scheherazade Stone, Vanessa Daou, (Once in a While), Nikolaj Grandjean, Helle Chirholm, Steen Kyed, Annemarie Zimakoff, Hanne Boel, Claire Ross-Brown (Complexity) and Christos Stylianou. Since 1998, his musical scores have appeared on more than 24 feature films and documentaries.[1] His downtempo electronic music is primarily written under his moniker Ganga with tracks featured in more than 200 compilations worldwide.[2] As "Ganga", he has released 7 CD albums, 4 EPs and 3 12" LPs. As a solo-artist, under his own name, he has released "Timecharged Maneuvers" and "Broken Air". Both on the danish label Insula Music. Other notable projects are Petrol with Helle Chirholm and Steen Kyed, Prox with Jørgen Teller, Panser with Peter Schneiderman (Peter Peter).

The releases with experimental music is primarily to be found on the releases "Timecharged Maneuvers", "Broken Air" and the "Prox albums "Evil Babies", "On Off" and "Life of X" which features Lotte Anker and Skak Snitker.

As part of the project "Film og musik live", Christian Rønn has performed live scores to silent films like Metropolis and The Battleship Potemkin, the latter with the Danish guitarist Peter Peter (Peter Schneidermann). These were well received by the Danish press.[3][4] The new scores were performed 5 times in all on the Danish music festival Roskilde Festival.
