Chloe x Halle are an American R&B duo, actresses, singers and YouTube sensations made up of sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey (born July 1, 1998 and March 27, 2000 respectively).

Career

In 2013, after their cover for "Pretty Hurts" went viral with nearly 12 million views, Beyoncé signed them to her management Parkwood Entertainment.[1] They were amongst the three talents she signed, others being Sophie Beem and Ingrid. They also won Disney's Next Big Thing competition in the fifth season.

Their debut EP, Sugar Symphony, was released on April 29, 2016. The video for the lead single "Drop" has over three million views on YouTube.[2] Later in 2016, they made cameo appearances in Beyoncé's Lemonade visual album.[3] They later served as Beyoncé's opening act for the European leg of The Formation World Tour.[4]

Personal life

Both sisters were born in Atlanta, Georgia, and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue music careers. Although they attended public schools such as Kittredge Magnet School growing up, Chloe and Halle later started homeschooling (and moved to L.A.—Valley Village). Although Chloe obtained her learners permit, she later decided not to drive.[5]
