The wingspan is about 17 mm. The forewings are brown, slightly reddish-tinged and with an elongate-triangular snow-while patch extending along the costa (with the apex anterior) from the base to five-sixths, reaching nearly half across the wing, the posterior side oblique from the end of the cell to the costa. The hindwings are light grey.[2]
