Chinle Unified School District
Chinle Unified School District No. 24 (CUSD) is a school district in Apache County, Arizona, United States.
Chinle USD serves several unincorporated areas Apache County, including Chinle, Lukachukai, Many Farms, Rough Rock, and Tsaile. Some areas considered to be Cottonwood, Nazlini, Tselani, and Wheatfields are also served by CUSD. The areas the school serves are within the Navajo Nation.
History
In July 1983 the Red Mesa Unified School District formed, splitting from the Chinle School District.[1]
Chinle Unified School District celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008. A district orientation at the Wildcat Den on July 25, 2008 celebrated this milestone event.

- Canyon De Chelly Elementary School serves approximately 600 students in Chinle, Arizona. The community of Chinle is located next to the Canyon De Chelly National Monument. The school is approximately 97% Navajo, and it is located in the heart of the Navajo Nation.
